Collegiate Financial Solutions, Inc. was founded in May of 2006 by Financial Planner and CFA (College Funding Advisor) - Ronald Blanks Jr. As the agency begun helping families in the Mobile area with saving money on rising tuition cost, the community began to take notice. As a result, being Mobile’s 1st college planning service, Collegiate Financial Solutions began to grow exponentially.
In 2007, using already existing financial instruments combined with current successful and proven college funding solutions, W.A.Y. Planning was developed by the advisory team at CFSI as a guaranteed and safe alternative for Alabamians to both save and pay for college expenses.
By the year 2008, Collegiate Financial had become a full service college planning agency and had developed accreditations with both national and state educational affiliations. In Addition, relationships with local high school counselors, parent program managers, and other members of both Baldwin and Mobile County Public School systems have developed in order that parents and students may continue to receive the most up-to-date college financial planning strategies available.
By 2009, full accreditation was fulfilled as Collegiate Financial was accredited by the Better Business Bureau; Which up until that time, because of previous abuse of misinformation and scholarship scams that the college planning industry had endured nationally, the Alabama BBB had never accredited a college planning agency before August of 2009.
